I trained as a psychodynamic couple therapist at the Tavistock Centre and before that as a Jungian analyst/psychoanalytic psychotherapist at the Society of Analytical Psychology. I have two decades’ experience, working in private practice, in the NHS most recently in the Tavistock Centre Couple Unit, and as a visiting clinician in Tavistock Relationships parenting service.
I also teach and supervise trainees on both individual and couple therapy trainings, as well as offering supervision to qualified psychotherapists. I work in person in NW3 within walking distance of Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road and Hampstead Underground stations and online. I am accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council. In addition I have an MSc in the Psychodynamics of Human Development from the BAP (now BPF)/Birkbeck College.
I have a particular interest in working with couples who are navigating a new life transition, for example geographic relocation, conception difficulties, the birth of a child, children leaving home, illness, or retirement.
I also have experience as a couple co-therapist, and an experienced colleague and I can meet with you as a pair; this may be of help if you have struggled with the idea or experience of meeting as a couple with one therapist. This work would be online.
Please contact which ever therapist you feel will be best suited for you via the contact form. If that therapist does not have a space to offer then she can refer you to another member of the practice.
