I gained my original in-depth training as an individual psychodynamic psychotherapist at WPF Therapy in London, subsequently training as a couple psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre. I have worked for over a decade in private practice and in charitable settings as well as in the NHS working with clients with complex issues. Alongside my private practice I have worked for several years as a Visiting Clinician in the Parenting Service at Tavistock Relationships (TR), one of the foremost providers of couple therapy in the UK. I have contributed a chapter to a TR book "Couples as Parents: Explorations in Couple Therapy" (2024, Routledge).
As well as working with the general issues that couples bring I have a particular interest in working with couples who are starting a family and couples with issues around parenting. I also frequently work with cross-cultural issues between couples and with couples where there is a loss of sexual desire that has become problematic for one or both partners. I am a registered member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and abide by the Codes of Ethics of these organisations.
I also offer to see couples as a co-therapist working with another experienced colleague to see you together. This work would be online.
I have a BA and MSc in the Humanities and my previous career was as a journalist and producer working in international affairs.
Please contact which ever therapist you feel will be best suited for you via the contact form. If that therapist does not have a space to offer then she can refer you to another member of the practice.
